Per la descrizione delle caratteristiche di questo genere sono stati esaminati gli esemplari tipo di mwfqMaevia poultoni (mwfgBarnes, 1955)cite-ref-worldspidercatalogue-1-1[1].

Questo genere era ritenuto sinonimo di mwhaMaevia mwhqEdwards, 1977; considerazione respinta a seguito di uno studio di mwhgPrószyński (2017b); descritto come mwhwsottogenere di mwiaMaevia, è stato elevato al rango di genere da un lavoro di Barnes del 1958cite-ref-worldspidercatalogue-1-2[1].

Non sono stati esaminati esemplari di questo genere dal 2017cite-ref-worldspidercatalogue-1-3[1].
